Top Children’s Movie Picks

mermaidOn this cloudy and drizzly Saturday I figured I would share my top children’s movies.

(And I mean actual children’s movies, not the so-called “stuff” that clearly is not for children, but marketed as such).

The Little Mermaid

Mary Poppins

The Lorax

Because of Winn-Dixie

Wreck-It-Ralph

Rise of the Guardian

Because of Winn Dixie is a favorite. My daughters (and I) loved Thumbelina. I can sing almost all the songs.

    1. LOL, I am that way with The Little Mermaid. (I do remember watching Thumbelina when I would babysit kids).

I LOVE the chimney sweep number in Mary Poppins!

    1. Me too Leandra! That movie is such a classic:)

  3. I enjoyed ‘Because of Winn Dixie’ tremendously! There’s another children’s movie (a Japanese animation) that I will always have on a shrine in my heart: Spirited Away. For children (maybe aged 9 & up) and adults. Have you watched it?

    1. Hi Claudine, I have not heard of Spirited Away. I will put it on my to-watch-list. Thanks for sharing.
