Changing The Little Things

mugFor me it’s the simple things in life that really make or break a day.

What do you do to change-up your day, or make something normal seem a bit more ‘cool’ ???

Put mac & cheese in a mug versus a bowl?

Drink a cold drink from your insulated coffee mug?

Pizza on a Wednesday night?

I’m not really much of a mix-it-up type person. I just try to notice the little things and be grateful for them to make my day. Like the beauty of the clouds or how funny my dog looks when he tries to stretch and scratch his face simultaneously and fails.

    1. LOL, yes my dogs too do odd things that make my day.

I pull out an antique tea cup and saucer..brew a strong cup of Red Rose Tea, and eat a piece of licorice slowly. I feel genteel and calm aferwards.

    1. That sounds lovely helenrj.

  3. I’m a total control freak, so changing things up can be hard. But this past weekend, the husband and I went to an indie video game festival (NOT my usual kind of thing) and I had a great time. Sometimes it’s good to break out of your comfort zone. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I get nervous about leaving my comfort zone too Anna. Congrats to you for going to the festival (and having fun).

In my antique textile days I used to advise clients to switch the rugs around, because after a few months you stop really seeing them. The smallest change wakes us up.
Your idea, to do the little things a different way, is a good reminder. I’m about to make my coffee, but it’s going to be tea instead, with a mug raised to you!

    1. I never knew that about rugs Mirka. Hope your tea was a creative change up for you ๐Ÿ™‚
